In a time where most serious aspiring artists have their own studio and do a lot of their own recording and production, Project Direction gives you the chance to have your favorite artists and producers help guide and assistant produce your album. For the average aspiring artist, hiring an A-level producer is unattainable and infeasible. With Project Direction, you get all the guidance and outside production at a small fraction of the cost. This system also keeps another producer from coming in and completely changing the sound and direction of your creations. It gives you the ultimate control with an expert ear a phone call away to help shape and uplift the work you are already doing.
Project direction works on a submission basis. Tune House artists will not take on the project unless they believe they actually have the ability, passion, and time to help you make your work significantly better. While you will remain the "Producer" of your album, Tune House artists will generally be credited as "Album Enhancers/Directors/Assistant Producers" if they so choose. You will have the right to offer a royalty if you see fit but it is completely up to you as the real producer and creator of the album...
After being accepted by the Tune House artist of your choice, send all your rough demos over and get the Tune House artist's personal take on your strongest songs, and where each album worthy song could use work. We will also establish an overall collaborative vision for how the songs work together, and general ideas for the production and execution of your project. Is there a synergy to all the songs together? Do the songs flow together? Do they feel defined and singular to who you are? Does the project stay engaging from open to close? Does your project have a defining feeling, ethos, or message?
Send all your updated songs to the artist and get their thoughts on the work you have done since the projects inception. Further development of your overall vision and blueprint for the albums production. Can the bridge lyric of the closing song be stronger? Is the bridge even necessary? Is that hook as strong as it can be? Can a lyric in song 6 play off that thing you said in the outro of song 2? Do any of these finished songs feel like a weak link or kill the vibe?
Send your updated songs with production and new vocals over to the artist and get production notes, ideas and overall project development. Do all the songs need to start with a kazoo solo? Are the drum sounds right? Are your low end frequencies fighting each other? Are there too many songs that start with a piano for 8 bars? Is that guitar sound super dated and way too clean?
Take a closer look at how far we've come and what needs to be done to wrap the project in the most impactful and awesome fashion. This is the stage of final production notes and song adjustments. It will also be the place we discuss finishing touches that can enhance the album and make it more original.
Hell yeah, we did it! The projects done! Let's crack a beer and celebrate and discuss how to get all your hard work heard by the most amount of people possible and brainstorm the best way to present it to the world..
